# Background

Dekto reached out to me (l_amp) about a new boatfly exploit and expressed interest in creating a new spawn download.
I agreed and we decided to go for 100k, since it was a while since the latest large download which was 256k in 2021 (released 2022).
We did not feel like going further than 256k would be too interesting and have here instead an up-to-date 100k download.
It is fitting, as this year is the 6 year anniversary of that first 100k download, and a lot of stuff has happened since.
